 Rev. Steven Newberg Pastor Rev. Steven E. Newberg was called October 16, 2016 by a unanimous vote to serve as pastor at Ascension Lutheran Church. Pastor Newberg was baptized and attended school at Immanuel Lutheran, the downtown grandmother parish of Grand Rapids, MI. He graduated from Hillsdale College, having studied History, and then from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. Ascension called him from Lutheran Church of the Lakes at Addison, MI, where he had served as pastor since June 28, 2009. He and his wife Tessa have been married since 2009 and have four children, August, Dietrich, Frederick and Magdalena. | ||
